A visit from John Hartson - Mike Daley

On Wednesday morning the latest event in our Emerging technologies project with Gnoll primary school took place when John Hartson visited St. Joseph's.

We were joined by Mr. Harris and four Gnoll pupils. John called in on his way to a charity golf match with Scott Quinell. The children had all researched his career and recovery from illness. A detailed set of questions awaited the winner of 51 Welsh caps.

Children from both schools discovered that John's most difficult opponent was Tony Adams. His goal for Celtic versus Liverpool was his favourite and Ian Rush was his hero when he was growing up.

John told the children about his charity work for the John Hartson foundation and how he ahead helped raise tens of thousands of pounds. The children then presented him with a cheque for his charity.

John was extremely generous with his time and a real natural with the children. He also promised to return and get a copy of the iBook the children are going to create. The iBook can now contain footage from John's career, images and of course film of the interviews conducted by the children.

Thanks to John for supporting us. A real gentleman.
